Grad Demo Reel

In semester four in my time at Humber College I decided the direction I was going to go with my career, effects technical direction. This demo reel was my first venture down that road, and I feel it was a successful one.

This was a solo project, and looking back I would have done so much differently. Definitely a great learning experience.

This is one of my very first models. It was done during my first semester at Humber College in the fall of 2004.

I actually did this assignment twice. I worked incredibly hard on the first pass of the assignment and when it was done I felt it looked too much like a toy and was not satisfied with the result. Dave Grohl Caricature

A caricature drawing I did of Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters in my first semester at Humber College.  The assignment was to do a caricature of some historical person, or something.  Some others in the class chose Cobain and Hendrix.  I was told Grohl didn’t quite qualify yet and lost a mark.  I have faith in him though! haha

Juggernaut vs. Logan

A piece of fan art I did back in high school for an assignment.

The assignment, as I remember, was to take a small clipping from a magazine or newspaper and enlarge it using a technique the teacher taught us.  I chose a panel from an X-Men Babies (super lame, I know) comic and enlarged it.  The final piece was about 18″ high and 12″ wide.
